I proudly present you my photomanipulation QUARANTINE.
Inspired by the movie I Am Legend I intended to create a photomanipulation of a deserted New York City. Over time though, it turned into a biohazard scenario ala 28 Days Later or Cloverfield. This photomanipulation has been in the making for months. I've been working on it on and off and added bit by bit every now and then. I'd tell you the number of layers used, but there are too many to count. I could also only guess how many hours I invested in this manipulation - finding the right stock images alone mostly took a great amount of time. A Making Of Quarantine Flash animation, showing the picture watermark-free and it's creation process step by step, can be viewed here. You don't want to miss that! I'm also going to upload a few close-up shots in a while, since it's original size is much bigger. Questions, comments and/or favorites are very much appreciated! Please take a minute and drop a line in the comments! Thanks go out to Futsin, 4thSurvivor, Lucifer and Mary Jane for their creative assistance and constant feedback! © 2009 Rammy - 4degrees.deviantart.com / rammy.artician.com. All stock images are copyright of their respective owners. This is a non-commercial photomanipulation, made solely to showcase my Photoshop skills. If you feel uncredited for a stock photo, go and tell mommy about it. |

I once had a dream much like this scene, and although I imagine that there might be a little more smog in real life when the future looks like this (aren't I optimistic?
